Production Department Manager - Painting
Mission
The Production Department Manager – Painting ensures the operational coordination of production activities by contributing to the resolution of operational issues, smooth production flow, and guaranteeing compliance with quality, deadline, and productivity objectives. They supervise team leaders, ensure proper application of procedures and standards, and provide regular monitoring of department performance.
Responsibilities
Production Activity Coordination
- Ensure proper organization of production activities within the department
- Ensure compliance with the defined production schedule
- Coordinate different teams through team leaders
- Ensure availability of necessary resources (human and material)
Quality Monitoring & Standards Application
- Ensure application of painting procedures and standards
- Monitor quality of completed productions (work-in-progress and finished products)
- Identify major non-conformities and alert the Cluster Manager
- Ensure implementation of defined corrective actions
Department Performance Monitoring
- Monitor production indicators (quantity, quality, deadlines)
- Analyze variances and report information to management
- Ensure compliance with processing deadlines and set objectives
- Participate in optimizing department performance
Intermediate Team Management
- Supervise team leaders and ensure proper management of operators
- Relay objectives and priorities defined by management
- Ensure smooth information flow within the department
- Ensure discipline, attendance, and compliance with internal rules
- Contribute to team skills development
- Ensure effective priority management based on production constraints
- Make quick operational decisions to guarantee continuity and performance of activities
Reporting & Rules Compliance
- Ensure regular reporting of department activities and incidents
- Report dysfunctions and propose improvement ideas
- Ensure application of internal instructions and procedures
- Ensure compliance with safety rules and cleanliness of work spaces
Requirements
- Degree in Industrial Engineering, Production, or related fields
- 3 to 5 years of experience in an industrial environment, ideally in production
- Initial experience in team supervision (team leaders or operators)
- Experience in production monitoring and meeting objectives (quality, deadlines, volume)
- Experience in a similar environment (textile / industry) is a plus
- Good understanding of production processes
- Knowledge of quality control basics
- Good knowledge of office tools
- Good ability to manage multiple teams and strong communication skills
- Analytical mindset, reactivity, attention to detail, and sense of responsibility
